I was surprised when people started asking about auctions. I really had forgotten about the auctions I'd been a part of in the past, but I do remember most of them were surprisingly successful. So, checking my Linden balance after buying some fancy new textures for a project for the city, I decided... hmm. Maybe we'll have an auction for the sim, and encourage people to have fun in the process. There's the tier, tips for our entertainers, always something coming up that needs to be bought.

Auctions can be great things - and they do drum up a lot of OOC fun, banter, and excitement. They can also be an unnecessary source of drama. "He doesn't have an hour to spend with ME, but he's putting himself up for auction for 2 hours?" "She's up there, and her alt! Can you believe that?" "Who are these people, they aren't in Ar? Why are they here?"

This is for entertainment purposes only. Relax. Let's have fun with it. This auction is for anyone that wants to participate, and outside folks are allowed to come in and put themselves up on a board if they like. Thanks to the black caste, in fact, we've raised over $200 USD right off the bat.

The auction will end on January 24, 2011 (that's a Monday) at 8 p.m. SLT. If you're around at that time, we'll probably throw up an auction stage and I will do the honors of encouraging last minute bidding on each of our auctionees. It's going to be a great time.
